Dr. Meher Isaa Balagopala

Meher Isaa was born into a middle-class family that was spiritually inclined and dedicated to Avatar Meher Baba. His father Bhaskara Raju was a great artist who ardently practiced the fine arts of painting, classical dance, music, and literature. His mother Govindamma was housewife. Both of his parents had personal contact with Avatar Meher Baba.

Meher Isaa was exposed to various spiritual truths of life through the sayings of Avatar Meher Baba from his childhood. Though many went over his head, during his schooling, he was convinced that keeping the mind under control is the superior way of enjoying life. He experimented with this learning in his tenth standard by skipping to watch movies. Unlike his four other siblings and many of his relatives, he passed the tenth standard in the first division. That was the first discovery of his inner potential drawn out by keeping a tab on the wavering mind. Continuing to harness the mind, he witnessed several other significant accomplishments in his studies. He completed graduation passing in first division with distinction and also stood as the institutional highest scorer. Having completed all his education in the medium of the local language, Telugu, until his graduation, he stood as a university rank holder in his M.Sc.

Meher Isaa obtained Ph.D. for his research work in Organic Chemistry. He worked in the USA as an Assistant Professor of Research to further conduct research and published his findings in various national and international scientific journals. He lived in USA for fourteen years and settled back in motherland.

Meher Isaa also worked in Information Technology as a programmer, manager, trainer, and organizational transformational coach. He worked for various multinational corporations in the USA and India. From the teachings of Avatar Meher Baba, MeherIsaa learned to manage a healthy balance between scientific insight and the spiritual outlook of life. He is an invited speaker on the teachings of Avatar Meher Baba across India.

Meher Isaa and his family faced hardship after his father’s retirement. It was a hopeless childhood but he was never down-hearted. Despite several hurdles and challenges, his depth of understanding of the true side of life transformed hopelessness into very many significant accomplishments. Coaching individuals and leaders to co-create their next best version, for their success and happiness, is his passion. He is fond of spirituality, Indian classical music, and yoga.

My story

Here is the one who can passionately help cocreating your next better version through coaching.
He was born in a place called Tadepalligudem in India. He was born to a High School drawing teacher and an illiterate mother. He studied in Government institutions all along. His elementary schooling was full of fun and moderate study. After school, he would play with friends almost on a daily basis. Most of the toys were made out of discarded items. He took studies seriously from 8th standard onwards and started competing with classmates.

His native place had five movie theatres but no college. Like many, he had to ride a used bicycle for five kilometres up and another five kilometres down to attend his college studies. His age-old used bicycle gave up in two years and he had to rely on the mercy of his friends for countless rides to complete college.

He was a member of a big family of four siblings and parents. All survived on his father's pay check with no other source of income. Although lived a middle-class life, at times life tasted the hardship of poverty. Basic needs were challenged. At times, he went to School as well as College in worn-out dresses. He saw the world from the holes of the thatched roof. Rainwater was collected in vessels placed in bedroom occupied by 7 members of the family. There was no dining table, electricity, radio, newspaper, or magazine. Until graduation, he studied at small kerosene lamps shared by family members. At times he studied under street lights and slept over with friends having electricity for combined studies.

He was belittled and insulted for his colour, community, height, and poverty. Although it pinched him momentarily, he was never shaken by such insults. He preserved the unshakable belief in self and soared by securing first class in tenth standard and college topper. Having studied in Telugu medium all along, he earned the fourth rank in his post-graduation at the University level. Unlike those who belittled him, he was awarded a Doctorate for his Ph.D. work in Organic Chemistry. He published his scientific findings in national and international journals. His passion for higher pursuits did not stop there. He went to the United States of America (USA)and conducted further research for additional five years as Associate Research Professor.

Neither emotional insults nor poverty impeded his soaring journey. What did fuel his journey despite several odds and harsh conditions? He developed poise, mental control, and self-confidence during his schooling days itself and thanks to weekly spiritual gatherings at his home, having devotional songs and spiritual discourses of Avatar Meher Baba, organized by his parents.

He lived in the USA for fourteen years owning a luxurious house with a great personal covered swimming pool. He had to give up his passionate Chemistry field for Information Technology (IT) due to a poor job market. He developed IT skills from scratch and worked in various positions for about 24 years in the USA and in India. He was again unperturbed to give up his passionate first career. The sense of detachment he learned from Meher Baba's teachings helped him maintain his bliss amidst several harsh onslaughts. He also gave up materially rich American life and settled back to lead a simple life in his motherland, India, whose dust was sanctified by several saints, philosophers, spiritually advanced souls like Vivekananda, Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, and various incarnates of God such as Lord Rama, Lord Krishna, Lord Buddha, and Avatar Meher Baba.

Once one learns the facts and hacks of life, one can develop a blissful state of mind to live happily regardless of what happens in the outside world. Such facts, hacks, and the science of lasting happiness are furnished in the book, The Blissful Life.

He also serves a great number of people as an invited speaker by traveling across India sharing deep insights of life from the discourses of Meher Baba.
